Visit to Zimbabwe



A visit to Zimbabwe can well prove to be a unique experience. The country of Zimbabwe is a nice place to visit. The country proudly boasts the majestic Victoria Falls along with the magnificent wildlife preserves and the medieval ruins, as well as the bustling city of Harare.

Victoria Falls

During your journey to Zimbabwe you can go to the Victoria Falls which is truly a magnificent sight. Here the Zambezi pours about 120million gallons of water per minute into a narrow chasm which is more than 330 feet deep. The mist and the spray can well reach over 1500feet into the sky and is visible even from 30 km away. David Livingstone is the first European to see the Victoria Falls.

Harare
Harare should be included in your tour program during your visit to Zimbabwe. Harare is the capital of Zimbabwe and it is a colorful metropolis with lots of parks and gardens, modern and colonial architecture. If time permit you can consider a visit to The National Art Gallery. It is famous for its collection of modern art as well as traditional masks and carvings. Queen Victoria Museum gives you a preview of Zimbabwean wildlife. You can also go to Ewanrigg Botanical Gardens which has beautiful landscaped gardens Here the bird-spotters would enjoy the Larvon Bird Gardens. For shopping there are many galleries and the Mbare Markets is a real fun for the travelers. You may also visit the Tobacco Auction floors between April to October. Bulawayo
Bulawayo is a place worth visit during your Zimbabwe visit The city of Bulawayo has beautiful parks and gardens. A tall white clock tower marks the City Hall. In the center of the town you will find the tourist information office, along with an art gallery and a market dealing in handicrafts and flowers.
